Dog Bloat Eat Slower Pet Dishes

How Does It Slow Your Dog's Eating?

The dish has seven feeding areas surrounding the center cone. The feeding areas are separated by 1” high walls(2-Cup size); ¾” high(1-Cup size).

These separated feeding areas require your dog to go from one area to another, and around the center cone. This increases the eating time, slowing the eating process.

If you use only 2 cups of food in the 2-cup size, it eliminates food stacking. This makes it impossible for your dog to grab a mouthful of food and gulp it down. He/she must use their tongue, lips and teeth to retrieve the food. That not only slows your dog further, it starts changing his/her eating style and helps reduce the risk of gulping air with the food, which can lead to bloat.

The 2-cup size will hold 4-5 cups of food in the seven feeding areas. However, if you will feed just 2-cups of food per feeding and feed 2 or 3 times each day, you will greatly reduce their ability to gulp/bolt food, start changing their eating style and reduce the risk on gulping air while eating. These changes reduce the problems associated with “fast eating” in dogs (see testimonials).

VERY EASY TO USE

For the 2-Cup size, get a 2 cup measuring cup, scoop it level full of dog food and pour into each feeding area until the floor is covered. Then I use the back of my fingers to spread the food evenly in every part of the 7 feeding sections.  It takes only several seconds to load the dish! For the 1-Cup size use a 1 cup measuring cup. If you feed less food, just put some in each of the 7 feeding areas.
