COMMENTS AND TESTIMONIALS
Dear Tom & Mary,
"Your eat slower pet dish is our answer to all issues we had at eating time. We have four labs, Evan 9 yrs., Apollo 8 yrs., Coco 7 yrs., Reesie 5 yrs. and they all enjoy their new dishes. All four of them are more satisfied with eating slower and seem alot happier after each feeding and go right over to the water bowl, instead of looking for more food. Your feeding dish was a true blessing to our household and we thank you everyday."

My Dobie Chloe has always devoured her food, gulping entire mouthfuls and finishing her meal in about 10 seconds. I purchased the 2-cup Eat Slower Pet Dish with the compartments. When I received it I thought it might be too large, but as stated, her food goes in the bowl in one layer and there is no food stacking. This makes her unable to grab mouthfuls of food and gulp it down. She uses her tongue and teeth to get to the single layer of food. It has slowed her down so much that she now finishes her meals AFTER her two other sisters, who are normal eaters! Chloe loves the compartments of the food dish. She thinks she is getting more food, and she will take a bit from one compartment, and then go to the next compartment, all around the dish. It has really slowed her down to eating at a normal rate. I am very pleased with the purchase! I have included two photos of her enjoying her meal. I would definitely recommend this bowl. And it is made in the USA and very well constructed.

Just letting you know I recieved my 2 dishes today and appreciate your excellent customer service, and the dishes are awesome! My two gluttens went from being "horrifying" to watch eat to "aah, how cute". These are definately a hit in this house and something I'll recommend to friends with pets!

Thank You!!! Our 1 year old lab, Riley, (pictured on the left on photo) puts everything in his mouth. He would literally INHALE his meals, finishing his dinner in 30 seconds or less. After his meals, would chew the dish like a plasic toy. Although we retrieved the dishes after each meal, they suffered some wear and tear, causing my family to repllace them every month or so. It got costly. Nothing really worked with Riley.
That all changed when I purchased 2 of your large dishes. I actually bought one as a back up, because I knew there would be more chewing! I was pleasantly suprised.... Your dishes are so big and heavy that they are currently in wonderful condition. We've had them for about two weeks. Riley now eats at a slower 2 minutes and 30 second pace, and I'm may use the "back up" dish for his mom, Sydney ( pictured on the right on photo)
Thank You! We love your dishes! They have changed our pup.

I've been meaning to give you an update ever since I recieved the bowl.. Works great! Ginger loves it, and eats like a lady now, instead of gulping it down. Between the dish, and not having to compete with any other dogs, she is doing fine. Thanks again for the service and great product.

I received the dog dish today and am happy to report that it took my lab about a minute instead of 10 seconds to eat his dinner tonight!!

I have a 14 month old beagle that inhales her food in less than 5 seconds. She was the runt of the litter and I guess in order to get her fill as a puppy she learned to eat very, very fast.
I bought another bowl online (Brake-Fast bowl) and it slowed her down somewhat, but not enough. I contacted a local trainer and she suggested your product. I have fed Sophia three times with your bowl and it is absolutely amazing. I have three other dogs (two beagles and a lab), and they all eat like normal dogs. When Sophia eats food out of your dish, she actually takes a little longer than the other three to finish her food. Sophia has gone from about 5 seconds to about 4 minutes. It is a tremendous product!

This is "Leon", a 7 month old Irish Wolfhound, who is already 30" tall. Wollfhounds are the tallest dogs in the World and very susceptible to 'bloat'. Leon lives in the UK and his owner, Carol, wanted to purchase our dish for him. Since we currently only ship to the US & Canada, I sent Carol 2 dishes with the agreement that she would time Leon in his eating. Here are the results.
Hi there Tom, Leons results are as follows:
Using a controlled amount of food (500 grams of soaked dry dog food). Before the eat slower dish Leon took 55 seconds to eat his meal. With one slow down dish Leon took 120 seconds, and this was timed over several meals and averaged out as around two minutes.
With the Two slow down dishes, it slowed him further to 205 seconds, a suprising increase of a further 45 seconds.
Thanks once again Tom, Carol Essex, UK Used with permission

Thanks so much for the quick delivery of the bowls. I received 2 - 2cup dished for my greyhounds (Guru & Shooter) on Friday. One of them (Shooter) was finishing his food in 30 – 45 seconds. With the new bowl, it now takes him over a minute (1:15 – 1:25). The other one (Guru) is even slower. I will recommend your bowls to everyone I know that has a fast eating dog. Thanks again.

Arrived earlier this week. Instant improvement. No more wolfing and choking. Thanks!
I can't believe this was such an easy (and inexpensive) fix. I can do canine CPR, but I'm not sure there's a Heimlich Maneuver for dogs. :) I was really starting to worry that Stitch would choke or aspirate a piece into his lungs. He's not happy about the bowl, but at least now I've got some peace of mind.

Hello, I just received my two 2-cup dishes for my pups today and tried them out @ dinner time......I was SO pleased ~ dinner time went from gulping down their food in a few seconds to 2-1/2 minutes to clean up their dishes. Can't tell you how excited I am about your product ~ AND it's made in the U.S.A.!!!!!! Sadie, our baby Boxer/Great Dane mix usually gets a case of the hiccups after every meal....I'm still watching her now that she has finished her dinner and no sign of hiccups!!!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Today I received the Eat Slower Pet Dish. For the first time in four years my 90 lb Doberman Pinscher Izzy couldn't inhale her kibble. She even seemed to enjoy her food more.
Since she is one of the breeds prone to dog bloat I knew I had to do something to help her. I always thought at some point she would stop eating so fast since she is an only dog. But after four years I knew it was never going to happen.
Thanks for a great product and I will be sure to recommend it to all her dog park friends.

I have a 10 month old cockapoo named Lady. However, when I decided to add a little wet food to her normal dry food because she was not eating well she no longer ate like a Lady. She would devour her food in literally 5 seconds and cough and choke afterwards. I tried to put one of those specially designed balls in the middle of her dish to slow her down with no success. However, when I used your bowl it took her one minute and thirty seconds to complete her meal without coughing or choking!!! This is a great product!!
Thank you!

It seems that Eat Slower Dog Dishes are a great training aid for fast eating puppies. B.A. purchased 2-Cups for her two Golden Retriever puppies. After two months, here is her testimonial:
Hi Tom, They are doing great! The bowls are great. Gabe, the male golden was eating his food in about 5 seconds. Now it is about 45 seconds and that may increase. Abby, the female was at about 15 seconds, now at least a minute or more.
The bowls work and now I am less concerned about bloat.
After 3 months, Gabe's eating time is 1 minute and Abby's eating time is 4-5 minutes! Wow!!
Thanks so much. Beverly Nashville, TN Used with permission

My overweight 5 year old couch potatoe Alaskan Husky/Black Lab mix Denali was on a doggie diet with medication from our vet and over the course of a year dropped 30 pounds. When we weaned her off the medication she began eating like she was literally starving to death and hadn ' t eaten in days. I had never seen a dog inhale their food so fast. Our vet said she was trying to get back the weight she lost .. back to her ' set point ' . It really scared me to watch her. I started feeding her a couple pieces of dry food at a time by hand and the same with her canned food. This was not a good solution because it really took too much time and she still wasn ' t chewing, she was inhaling it off my hand. The vet suggested I add green beans to her dish because she would chew them and it would add lots of filling fiber with very few extra calories. That did help because I used whole thawed raw beans from the freezer and they were too big for her to just swallow without chewing. However that was expensive going through a one pound bag of frozen beans every other day (she gets breakfast and dinner and per suggestion from the vet she gets a cup of beans in the middle o f the day ) . After a short search on the internet I found your site and decided to try 2 of the 2 cup size dish es , one for canned food and one for dry . They were delivered in a few days and she has become a new dog! I put the dish es on the bare floor so that they slide and she walks around them instead of reaching over the cone in the middle.
She eats one section at a time and s he chews her food again ! I cannot thank you enough for coming up with this idea that has saved my baby from getting bloat.
I am forever grateful!

To make a long story short, my beloved senior dog Cheyenne bloated on July 20th. Thank goodness, Collin County's animal emergency clinic is literally five minutes from my house. The life-saving surgery was performed, since Cheyenne's stomach had twisted and she was near death. As a preventative measure, her stomach was also tacked down. After the surgery, I scoured the Internet looking for ways to help prevent a future occurrence, not only in Cheyenne, but in my other two dogs as well. That's when I came across your website and the Eat Slower Pet Dish. It's design is unique. I haven't seen it anything like it anywhere else~ and believe me, I have done hours upon hours of research regarding gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV).

Kim, from St Joseph, Michigan, wanted to know if the EAT SLOWER Dish was safe for the dishwasher. She said, "My friends lab can finish a meal in under 10 seconds....it is horrifing!"
My wife, Mary, told her "sure, just put it in the top rack". Kim ordered a 2-Cup that same day.
Here is Kim's e-mail 8 days later:
Tom,
Well, Abby the Labby has gone from about 10 seconds to a minute right out of the box. And I am optimistic.
A heartfelt thank you to your wife!

Dear Tom & Mary,
Just wanted to take a moment to thank you both for the Eat Slower Pet Dish as well as your commitment and concern for the dogs that use them.
"Smoky", our 5 1/2 year old Weimaraner, has been a voracious eater since the day we rescued him 3.5 years ago. He eats like he'll never see food again in this lifetime.
Since Weimaraners are one of the breeds susceptible to bloat, Tina and I have always attempted to slow down his eating using a variety of methods. Unfortunately, most of these proved to be ineffective for the most part (including placing large dense objects in his dish which he would be forced to move or eat around).
We studied a variety of the dishes online which had been recommended toward helping to manage this problem. Ultimately we decided to try your Eat Slower Pet Dish because you were a small, family run business and also because your product was manufactured here in the USA. (We were very pleasantly surprised by just how quickly our order was processed and received, by the way.)
Turns out that our decision was a sound one for not only has the dish been successful in slowing Smoky down at mealtimes, but we have also very much enjoyed corresponding back and forth with you about our respective dogs and various methodologies for keeping them healthy via their eating habits.
Smoky's mealtimes have gone from a mad dash lasting only several seconds to well under a minute to an average of approximately one minute and ten seconds per meal. (I have logged his meal times over the past few weeks and have sent you the results separately during this period.)
Well, I'll cut this short by saying in closing that it's been a pleasure to have discovered your Eat Slower Pet Dish and to have had the opportunity to correspond with and share notes with you regarding the health of our dogs.
Thanks again on behalf of myself, Tina and most of all "Smoky".

We are very impressed with your Eat Slower Doggie Dish. Our dog, Dusty, has always had tummy troubles, and always eaten too fast. But since we have been using your dish, her tummy has settled down and she seems happier.
Thank you so much for the dish. We think you have a winner! J, A & R, Frisco, Texas Used with permission
